SMCS always aims at “Creating a Society of motivated citizens committed to conservation, preservation and protection of the environment and striving towards a life in perfect harmony with nature.  To achieve this mission certain essential workshops are conducted for students.  One of those was Disaster Management Workshop held on 19th Nov 2015 for Grade 10 students in the school auditorium.  Sudden intense disasters result in destruction, injury and death, disrupting the normal life as well as the process of development.

Students were informed and guided for Disaster Management which involves prevention, mitigation, preparedness, recovery, etc.
Students performed certain role plays visualizing measures aimed at reducing the impact of a natural or man-made disaster on a nation or community.  Interactive session created awareness and conveyed the message “Don’t be scared but be prepared”.
