"Teachers"..bone of SMCS grasping knowledge in the workshop on life Skill organized by PARWAH at SMCS.

12^th September, 2015 – Workshop on Capacity Building (life skills) for teachers was held in SMCS . Workshop was conducted by organization ‘Pravah’ under CBSE. The points discussed were role of teachers in one’s life. It was quite a knowledgeable workshop. Various challenges faced by adolescents were discussed in the workshop. Though adolescence is a period which we, the teachers, have come across but through this workshop we could feel the problems of adolescence once again and now we are mature enough to deal with these problems and after this workshop we are also able to help the students to overcome their adolescent problems and channelize their energy in a positive way. Different kinds of activities and games were conducted which did not make the workshop monotonous. Such workshops are essential for the teachers to help the students identify their talents and skill and use it in the right way.

On 5th September the teachers and students of SMCS celebrated the Teachers Day cum the CHARITY DAY in the most unique way possible..

They visited NAYI ASHA AASHRAM, Daurala, Meerut and spent their whole day with its students organized different activities like Dance competition, Singing & Sports fun activities..

What a brilliant way to brighten the hearts of those special little kids in that gated Ashram.

Quiz Whiz

‘As Annual Mega Event” is organized by ITS (Institute of Technology & Science) Mohan Nagar, on 31st August 2015 to provide a platform to the students where they can brilliantly showcase their knowledge & general awareness.

Academic excellence and extracurricular activities provide students with an opportunity to exhibit their team spirit & talents in their quest for triumph. It is with this intention of fostering a unique environment students of our school (St. Mary’s Christian School) participated in intra-school quiz competition.

Level 1 à A pen & paper quiz, based on general English, Sports, Logical reasoning, Aptitude general Awareness & IT Trends was conducted for students of XI & XII all streams.

Top 3 winner were awarded Merit certificates & cash Prize of Rs. 1000,  Rs. 700,  Rs. 400 with two consolation prizes.

Level 2 à The top 3 winner will represent our school as a team at level 2, The Inter School Live Quiz competition at ITS Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad campus on 4th November, 2015.
