English is an adventure, dare to explore, with these thoughts in mind the Marians had celebrated fun filled English Week. The week commenced with an inaugurating assembly on 12th October 2015. Where the logo of the English week was unveiled and students enjoyed a powerpoint presentation on English and personality development. The second day had a morning assembly filled with fun and frolic for classes VI to VII where they were given a stage to depict their talents as imitating vocational professionals.
The third day morning assembly was followed by various activities which were filled with enthusiasm, where students of grade I & II participated whole heartedly in public speaking and role plays on country and festivals.
Class XI & XII students were given free stage to show their hidden talents and empowerment of their impulsive  behavior through  poster making competition, where they tried to take some break from their regular routine of pack study schedule. The use of their ideas blended with papers of vibrant colours, brought wonderful piece of art work showing the history of great writers and poets.
In the closing ceremony quiz was conducted where students participated with full enthusiasm. The week had drama, poetry, imagination, thoughts tips for better studies etc. 



On 3rd October 2015, SMCS organized International Project Work Exhibition & Sessional Work Display. The exhibition was inaugurated by our honourable & respectable Sir Manger & Ma’am Director by lighting up the lamp. Student displayed their Summer Vacation Work which included Posters, Poem Books, Story Books and models related to their subjects. Wonderful and amazing science working models were displayed in science lab. Kidszone displayed all the activities of their work in various rooms. There was a section of ISA which displayed Global Connection on Various topics depicting the ISA Projects for different grades for session 2015-16 was received from the parents and guardians. Altogether it was a huge success and the efforts of the Marians were highly praised.

On 30th October,2015, St. Mary’s Christian School has celebrated Halloween which is one of the most enthusiastically celebrated festivals of France. Students of grade V, VI, VII and kids zone were dressed up as zombies, Witches, Vampires. Monster Parade was carried in the school premises. Scary Cards were exchanged by the students in order to promote the use of French Language. Pictures of children in different poses were also clicked. They had enjoyed the day a lot. It was a great fun!

Happy Gandhi Jayanti

Mahatma Gandhi : His unique perceptions
Mahatma Gandhi, the pre-eminent leader, a revolutionary man led entire Nation with the sway of his thoughts. The honorific man led nationwide campaign for easing poverty, expanding women’s right, building religious and ethnic amity, but above all his visualization of cleanliness with a clean mind, body and surroundings.
A glimpse of his views, will provide idea, why he is still revered. 
“ Your beliefs become your thoughts
Your thoughts become your words
Your words become your actions
Your actions become your habits
Your habits become your values
And your values become your destiny.”
He always believed that politeness, respect and reverence are assets for everyone to be used towards their superiors, companions, inferiors and dependents. His fundamentals were strong and clean when he exhorted youth to swim with or against the change, but never sink in traditions. He always wished that the government as the employer, the corporate as social responsibility and social organization as groups of citizens with civic sense, should raise the self esteem of workers or poor people.
“Cleanliness is next to godliness” was sparkling version given by him.
Gandhi ji dwelt on cleanliness and good habits and pointed out its close relationship to good health. According to him Transparency in thoughts and deeds is the first step followed by favourable actions.
He taught us that our clean thinking, our right deeds, enthusiastic and passionate actions with time can make the wheel of success turn speedily in favour.
